I study how gender norms, family institutions, and invisible burdens within couples shape women’s economic autonomy, the allocation of time, and the risk of violence.

In particular, my research focuses on

• invisible constraints

• intra-household conflict

• male responses to normative and cultural changes

• how time, norms, and violence intersect
